Ever wondered what it would be like for a music festival to take place in the middle of the forest deep in the heart of Appalachia? Where you can relax beneath the canopy of old growth hemlock, with music floating through the mountain laurel and rhododendron? Wonder no more. Laurel Cove Amphitheater is a hidden gem of a venue that we are about to showcase to the world.

Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Laurel Cove Music Festival at Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Pineville, KY. Even though the weather caused us to move the event indoors in year one, that didn't put a damper on this amazing event! It went so well that we're coming back even bigger and better this year (hopefully with no rain!).

This year will be headlined by the incredible folk-country trio Lost Dog Street Band on Saturday night, with Arkansas singer-songwriter Ward Davis headlining Friday. Support will come from Arlo McKinley, Mike and the Moonpies, Morgan Wade, John R Miller and the Engine Lights, Charles Godwin, Chelsea Nolan, and many more!

And stay tuned to our Laurel Cove Music Festival Facebook Page for more the most up-to-date info.

Mark your calendars for June 12-13 because this will be the one festival this spring you don't wanna miss!!!

FAQ

  • Here is the difference between VIP, Reserved Seating, and General Admission:

GA Tickets

General Admission seats are the benches and/rocks that are located just behind the green seats up front. Seating is first come first serve.

Reserved Seats

Reserved seats are located in front of General Admission. Best seats are automatically selected.

VIP Seats

VIP includes reserved seats in one of the front two rows, access to a shaded VIP hangout, private restrooms & a special edition VIP poster.

  • For those inquiring about children’s admission. The show is all ages…if the child is able to sit on your lap, they will not require a ticket. Otherwise they will need a ticket. We do not have kids tickets available other than regular ticket admission.

  • We will have several shuttles to take people from the upper parking lots, from the lodge, and from the hotels in Middlesboro to the venue. The shuttle schedule will be posted on June 1.

  • Camping – We’ve been told that Pine Mountain State Park will have primitive camping spots located at the old horse stables which is above the lodge (see attached map). These spots must be registered for by calling 606-337-3066. However, the sites are not ready yet, we will announce on our Facebook Page when you should called to reserve. We will have several Porto johns on site, but again, these sites are for primitive tent camping only.

  • We are still working on getting info about RVs/campers and whether the park would be able to accommodate any, even small ones. For now, there is RV/camper spots just a few minutes down the road at the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. Info here: https://www.nps.gov/cuga/planyourvisit/camping.htm

  • As far as bringing coolers/food/drinks into the show, park rules prohibit bringing them into the venue for the event. We will have food and drink vendors on site.

  • If you have General Admission (GA) tickets and would like to bring your own fold out chair, you may do so long as it is behind the seated area and no obstructing anyone’s view.
