Ever wondered what it would be like for a music festival to take place in the middle of the forest deep in the heart of Appalachia? Where you can relax beneath the canopy of old growth hemlock, with music floating through the mountain laurel and rhododendron? Wonder no more.

After being postponed for an entire year, we are excited to have our second annual Laurel Cove Music Festival at the scenic Laurel Cove Amphitheater at Pine Mountain State Resort Park. Featuring over 30 acts on 2 stages, you'll find some of the best in country, folk, bluegrass and Americana in Pineville this June. Featuring headliners Lost Dog Street Band on Saturday and Sundy Best on Friday, along with Morgan Wade, Arlo McKinley, John R Miller, 49 Winchester, and many more!

Hey everyone! 


It's almost time for the 2nd annual Laurel Cove Music Festival! We’re beyond excited to welcome everyone down to the hills of Bell County, KY on June 11-12th. We decided to make a lengthy post with a bunch of information for the many questions we’ve been getting and to give everyone insight on how to prepare for the festival. We are THRILLED to announce that Gov. Beshear has stated that all COVID restrictions have been lifted as of June 11....just in time! So now we are able to sell tickets to full capacity. However, we are still a very small festival and tickets are 3/4 gone...so get yours ASAP! 


 Keep in mind that spacing between seats will be back to normal. State mandates also do not require masks to be worn outside, but we still highly encourage you to use them in situations where you are talking or are close to folks outside your group. We know that most folks coming will be vaccinated and most likely for some time, but we still hope that people will use respect and consideration towards everyone in attendance. If you have concerns about COVID and do not wish to attend, we will gladly refund your tickets. Just request it on Eventbrite or email us.

GA Tickets

General Admission seats are the benches and/rocks that are located just behind the green seats up front. Seating is first come first serve.

Reserved Seats

Reserved seats are located in front of General Admission. Best seats are automatically selected. Seating assignments will be mailed to ticket holders the week prior to the email you used to purchase the tickets.

VIP Seats

VIP includes reserved seats in one of the front rows, access to a shaded VIP hangout, private restroom, and a special edition VIP poster.


Music is scheduled to start at noon each day, with doors at 11 AM.


The show is all ages, and while our festival is more adult oriented, if they can sit in your lap they will not need a ticket.


Camping will not be available at Pine Mountain State Park this year. Unfortunately we were not able to get permission for this from the Parks department due to COVID. There are a few camping options nearby, however. The Cumberland Gap National Historical Park is just 15 minutes from the Cove and has a ton of both primitive and electric sites (https://www.nps.gov/cuga/planyourvisit/camping.htm). For folks who don't mind backcountry camping, there is also Kentucky Ridge State Forest just minutes away (http://www.stateparks.com/kentucky_ridge_state_forest_in_kentucky.html and https://fw.ky.gov/More/Documents/KentuckyRidgeStateForest_ALL.pdf). We also have a landowner near the park with some primitive sites available, if you need his contact information please email laurelcovecamping@hotmail.com


Lodging is available nearby even though Pine Mountain State Park is sold out. We have the Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Econolodge all in Middlesboro just 10 minutes south. There are also several Air BNBs in the area including Pine Mountain Inn, Boone Trail Inn, Elk Creek Lodge, and more. You can visit www.bellcountytourism.com/lodging for more info. 

Vendors will be limited due to space but we do have a few coming, including Pokeberry Holler Handmade Soaps, Bent Strings Beard Company, Amalagam Unlimited (Jimbo Valentine), Lil Bubby Child, Stoned Beatiful Jewelry, and several more. 


Parking is kinda tight at the venue. If at all possible, please try and carpool with your friends. You will notice on the map that in addition to the main parking area, there are two other parking areas above on the main road. One is within walking distance and has a trail leading down to the venue. However you must enter through the main parking lot and entrance to receive your wristband first. Once your wristband is acquired, you will be able to use the trail between the Cove and the upper parking lot for access. Parking is also available on the sides of the road in the numerous wide spots. 


Shuttles will be running to Middlesboro Friday and Saturday to the following locations: Holiday Inn Express, Econolodge, and Cumberland Gap National Park Campground at noon and 5 PM as well. They will do multiple trips if need be during these runs. The shuttles will be taking folks back at promptly at 11:30 PM as well both nights. There is also Marsee Taxi who you can call at 606-269-8631.


No outside food or drink is allowed in the venue. The staff at Pine Mountain State Resort Park will have food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for sale. 


We also will not be allowing pets this year. If you have a service animal, it is of course different. But due to the crowd size this year and the noise, we can’t have them at this show. 


Posters will be for sale at the merch table (located near venue entrance). If you are a VIP ticket holder, your VIP poster can be picked up at the merch tent (only VIP ticket holders can get the night version of Jimbos). The regular print, foil prints, and whatever's leftover of of the preshow prints will be available for purchase. The 18x24” foil prints are limited to 50 prints (25 for sale each day), so getting to the show early is a must if you want one. All poster proceeds will be go towards ROHO, which is a charitable non-profit in our area who helps underprivileged kids with Christmas toys. 


We have attached a map with the layout for this year (see below). The campfire stage will be located in the small picnic area below the Lower Shelter (band area) entrance. We will have signs up alerting those coming in that there will be pedestrians crossing the road so please slow down when coming to this area. The headliner of each campfire session on Friday and Saturday will be moved to the main stage due to traffic coming out.

Friday Main Stage: Short & Company, Bek & The Starlight Revue, Wolfpen Branch, Charles Wesley Godwin, Wayne Graham, Buffalo Wabs and the Price Hill Hustle, 49 Winchester, Mike and the Moonpies, Morgan Wade, Sunday Best

Friday Campfire Stage: Logan Halstead, Matt Green, Sydney Adams, Tiffany Williams, Nolan Taylor


Saturday Main Stage: Aaron Boyd, Charlie Woods and Deep Hollow, Walter Debarr, Chelsea Nolan, Laid Back Country Picker, Eric Bolander, The Local Honeys, John R Miller, Arlo McKinley, Lost Dog Street Band

Saturday Campfire Stage: Logan Halstead, Dalton Mills, Chloe Edmonstone, Dave Shoemaker, Cole Chaney, Hill Country Devil. 


EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE. Only in severe weather will event be cancelled, and we can't give refunds due to severe weather.
